Is the ResMed AirMini Auto CPAP automatic?

Yes, the AirMini has 3 different operating modes. CPAP, AutoSet and AutoSet for you. CPAP mode offers a fixed pressure setting.

Can I use AirMini without HumidX?

The ResMed AirMini travel cpap device is only compatible with a few ResMed AirFit masks. Note that only the P10 and N20 masks can be used with the HumidX and HumidX Plus humidifier tabs. The tabs for the full face masks are currently being created.

AutoSet™
The AirMini is an advanced automatic titration device (APAP) that constantly monitors your breathing and adjusts your therapy pressure accordingly to ensure maximum effectiveness. Your sleep apnea is dynamic, so your PAP therapy should be dynamic too - whether you need more or less pressure depending on your sleeping position or other factors we will take into account for you. The AirMini can also be set to standard CPAP and proprietary ResMed AutoSet for Her™ modes.

AutoRamp™ with Sleep Detection
This advanced ramp feature is designed to make sleep therapy more comfortable. The AirMini starts with a low starting pressure to help you fall asleep easily. Then, using its sleep detection feature, it begins to conveniently ramp up to your prescribed pressure as soon as it detects that you have fallen asleep.

AutoSet for Her™
This new algorithm delivers therapeutic responses tailored to the characteristics of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in women. Research has shown that women with OSA have higher upper airway resistance and flow limitation than the general OSA population1, which is why the AutoSet for Her™ algorithm was designed to be more sensitive to flow limitation.

HumidX™ Technology
AirMini offers waterless humidification thanks to the fully integrated HumidX™/HumidX™ Plus heat-moisture exchanger, a non-heated, waterless humidification system. AirMini Setup Packages
Unlike most CPAP machines whose universal tubing is compatible with almost all mask interfaces, the AirMini is only compatible with the ResMed AirFit N20 Nasal Pillow System, AirFit P10 Cushion System, AirFit/AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask Systems and the AirFit N30 Nasal Mask. An appropriate AirMini setup package must be selected to fully integrate the selected mask style with your AirMini to integrate advanced ActiveAir™ ventilation and HumidX™ technology.

ActiveAir™
With ActiveAir™, ResMed was able to develop AirMini, the smallest PAP therapy device in the world. To deliver therapy that is as effective as a traditional bedside device with a smaller motor, the device must be able to increase therapy pressure without the need to proportionally increase flow. ActiveAir™ uses a flexible silicone valve to regulate vent flow across the full pressure range, reducing the overall flow required to achieve therapy pressure.
