The ResMed Mirage Liberty is a hybrid version that merges a nasal mask with a CPAP full mask. How did ResMed do it? They have a mouth pillow that allows the user to breathe in and out through the mouth and nasal pillows that plug directly into the nose.

This design feature benefits users who have a narrow nasal bridge where it is difficult to find a mask to provide a seal that does not blow CPAP air into the eyes.

Customizing your ResMed Mirage Liberty full face mask

ResMed Mirage Liberty is designed for quick and easy installation! Just follow these instructions:

• Choose the nose pillows that are the right size for you - small, medium or large.
• Before you go to bed, wash your face thoroughly. It is recommended not to apply moisturizer as some ingredients may come into contact with the cushion to cause skin irritation or reduce the effectiveness of the mask seal.
• Place the hat on your head like a hat. Make sure that the headgear sits evenly on your head.
• Place the mask over your mouth and place the nasal pillows so that they sit gently at the entrance of your nostrils.
• Insert the lower headgear clips into the mask until they click into place.
• Then carefully tighten the head strap. First the top and then the bottom so that the sides of the headgear rest between your eyes and ears.
• Do not overtighten the straps. The mask should float gently on your face. Tightening your headgear too tightly can cause leaks. Now adjust your nasal pillows by gently aligning them with your nostrils until you feel most comfortable. If you are having difficulty finding a perfect fit, please consult the troubleshooting section of the ResMed Mirage Liberty User Guide.
• Now you can connect your Mirage Liberty to your CPAP machine.
• If you need to get up at night, you don't need to take off your Mirage Liberty mask. Simply separate the elbow by squeezing both sides and pulling away from the frame before turning off your CPAP. When you return, reconnect your elbow to your mask and turn the device on.
