Resmed Water Chamber H5i Humidifier

This is the replacement chamber for the H5i heated humidifier, which is compatible with the S9 series of devices. This Resmed Water Chamber H5i Humidifier needs to be hand washed. The standard H5i chamber is not dishwasher safe.

In late 2012 and early 2013, the design of the Water Chamber H5i Humidifier changed to allow it to be opened for cleaning. The Water Chamber seal has been changed and is now more yellow than blue.

• Slide the latch.
• Lift the hinged lid.
• Remove the water pan.
• Discard excess water from the water pan.
• Release all four side latches.
•  Pull the tub lid, plate and base apart.
•  Remove the maximum water level mark from the plate by pinching and pushing out the locks.
• Locate the air outlet on the back of your Water Chamber H5i Humidifier.
•  Remove the outlet clip by pulling the clip ends apart and peeling them off.
•  Remove the air vent by pushing it inside the H5i.

Tips for the maximum fill level of water chamber H5i

• Do not fill the water tank above the maximum fill line. The humidifier or the therapy device can be damaged.
• If the water tank is overfilled, water may leak from the tank inlet (located at the front corner of the tank) when installing the tank cap.
• Use only room temperature distilled water in the tank.
  Do not add chemicals or additives to the water. This could result in possible irritation of the respiratory tract or damage to the water tank.
• Remove the tank, empty all water and replace the empty tank before transporting the water chamber H5i Humidifier .
• turn on the humidifier without the water tank installed. The humidifier number setting must remain at 0 when there is no water in the water tank.
• Do not attempt to fill the water tank while it is in the humidifier.
• To avoid spillage, do not disconnect the humidifier from the therapy device with water in the tank. Remove the water tank from the humidifier before disconnecting the therapy device.
• The humidifier door must be placed in the open position before removing the water tank.
• Do not remove the water tank without ensuring that the humidifier door locks in the open position.
